I Grew up in Northwest Indiana. As a child, although having wonderful parents and family, I experienced a lot of anxiety, self consciousness, depression and unworthiness. From age 13 to 20 I struggled with violence, drug dealing and heavy drug/alcohol addiction. I caused great pain to myself and others along the way. I had powerful energy and a strong will but I did not know where or how to direct it at that time. In 2016 I had an intense spiritual awakening and began studying various philosophies, spiritual traditions and methods from around the world. I was taken deep into the mystical love and wisdom of the great saints, yogi’s and avatars from around the world. I do a wide variety of spiritual practices and am apart of many communities. I have found God, or the Self in all places and in all things. It is my path in this life to show, my Guru Maharaji’s words, “Sub EK” that all is one and that all traditions are one. Meister Eckhart said ‘theologians may quarrel, but the mystics of the world speak the same language.” Through sadhana (spiritual practice), accompanied by love, dispassion, right view, right action and right understanding, we can wake up fully to God in this very lifetime.
When I had that initial awakening of spirit the first thing that became clear to me was the unity of what all of these teachers were saying and that the true identity of each individual life form is no different than that of God. I see life as the ultimate lila, or play of God, in which we have come into form to experience this dance. This dance which is filled with both unimaginable joy and unthinkable sorrow. And yet here we are. As my beloved teacher Ram Dass says – we strive to – Be Here Now and – know that – We are All Just Walking Each Other Home. – back to our very own spiritual hearts. The essence of our own beings.
I love the Christian saying – Glory be to the Father (the formless), the Son (the self-realized being or Christ Consciousness) and the Holy Spirit (The Divine Mother, The OM sound) as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be (the Love is always here, will always be here and is here in this very moment) World Without End (Life Eternal) Amen.
Love is the strongest medicine, it is even more powerful than electricity – Neem Karoli Baba
